The Regional Conference Retirement Plan (RCRP) Board has voted to appoint Dr. Toussaint Williams as Director of the Regional Conference Retirement Plan. He begins his new role on January 1, 2027, succeeding Dr. William Cox, who is retiring.

As director, Williams will lead the Plan's work to help Regional Conference employees prepare for retirement well and navigate retirement with dignity.

Administrative leadership

Williams comes to the Plan from the South Central Conference of Seventh-day Adventists in Nashville, Tennessee, where he has served as executive secretary and vice president since 2023. In that role he works alongside the president and treasurer in leading the conference, oversees its official records, policies and actions, and serves on numerous boards and committees.

An ordained minister, Williams served as a pastor in the South Central Conference for about a decade before being called to administration. Earlier, he served Pine Forge Academy as an administrator, chaplain and instructor, and taught as an adjunct professor at Oakwood University, Strayer University and Oakwood Adventist Academy.

Education

Williams holds a PhD in character education, an MBA in finance and a Master of Divinity. He writes for Ministry magazine and, together with his wife, Dr. LaKeisha Williams, for Message magazine.

In his words

“We owe a huge debt of gratitude to the workers who have blazed the trail ahead of us and it is our duty, responsibility, and our honor to manage this plan in a way that exemplifies the excellence with which they served and in a way that provides them the dignity they deserve.”
— Dr. Toussaint Williams
“Dr. Williams' leadership, his desire for excellence, his professional polish, and his pastor's heart is a great addition to the Plan. His contribution will certainly provide more than just a check to those who have so diligently served this church.”
— C. Anslem Paul, ORCM | RCRP Communications Director

Williams and his wife live in Nashville, Tennessee, and have two young adult sons.
